The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley's three direct services projects, AIDS Legal Services, Legal Advocates for Children & Youth, and Mental Health Advocacy Project, have continuing opportunities for pro bono services directly benefiting indigent clients in need of legal representation, with time commitments ranging from 10 to 40 hours.

Would I be trained?
Law Foundation programs provide legal training in practice areas such as guardianships, education rights, social security claims, bankruptcy, restraining orders and will/estate preparation. Law Firms may wish to receive training for a group of their interested attorneys and partner with a Law Foundation project in a specialized practice area such as guardianships or social security claims.
What is my time commitment?
Pro Bono Attorneys will commit to taking at least one case or providing 10 hours of pro bono work per year.
Current Scheduled Trainings include:
Mental Health Advocacy Project will conduct a training that will prepare attorneys and advocates (Bar Admission not required) to assist MHAP clients with their disability claim hearings before the Social Security Administration.
Trainees must commit to take at least one MHAP pro bono case over the next year.
