Get Involved: Co-Counseling

Fair Housing Law Project

The mission of Fair Housing Law Project (FHLP) is to ensure that all people may freely choose a place to live without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, source of income or disability; whether they operate a licensed daycare facility; or whether they have children in their family.

FHLP has opportunities for private firms and individual attorneys to co-counsel cases helping victims of unfair mortgage lending or housing discrimination.

Public Interest Law Firm

The mission of the Public Interest Law Firm (PILF) is to protect the human rights of individuals and groups in the Silicon Valley area who face barriers to adequate representation in the civil justice system, using impact litigation and advocacy.  PILF accomplishes its mission by leveraging the skills and resources of pro bono attorneys to provide high quality representation in class action and impact litigation, advocacy in state and local government, and litigation support to local legal services programs.

PILF has a wide-ranging litigation and advocacy docket in the areas of civil rights; fair, habitable, and affordable housing; consumer protection; disability access; education adn other youth rights; and rights of individuals in institutions.

For more information about co-counseling partnerships, please contact our Pro Bono Coordinator, Allison Barnum, at allison.barnum@lawfoundation.org or (408) 280-2412.
