During this unprecedented crisis, many of our clients are facing even greater challenges than during normal times. Those who are unable to work due to the order to shelter-in-place are not earning a paycheck and are suddenly at risk of losing their homes. Others face the challenge of accessing disability or social security benefits because they have been caring for a sick family member or are sick themselves. Many foster children are at risk of being unable to connect with family in person due to social distancing.
When the shelter-in-place order went into effect, our team immediately pivoted to begin meeting our clients' changing needs. Read more about that here.
We recognize that so many of us are facing our own challenges at this time, but our work to support low-income people through this crisis is so critical.
Thank you to our generous Annual Partners for making our work possible.
